We are pleased to announce the release of new D.E.C.T. (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) Multi-Cell Wireless solution. Panasonic was one of the first PBX manufacturers to deploy a multi-cell D.E.C.T. solution in Europe where it has been Panasonic’s cordless standard for the last five years. Since then, D.E.C.T. has gained acceptance as the emerging standard for cordless telephone technology in the United States. In 2005, the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) relaxed frequency spectrum licensing requirements and costs associated with the use of D.E.C.T. products in the U.S., clearing the way for adoption of the technology and frequency band in the U.S. Now that the road blocks have been removed, Panasonic’s proven D.E.C.T. solution is now available here in the United States, providing you with all the advantages of this technology.

Multiple Handsets The D.E.C.T. 6.0 standard supports the use of multiple handsets operating from the same base.

Panasonic’s new D.E.C.T. Multi-Cell Wireless Solution consists of two new portable stations (KX-TD7685 and KX-TD7695) and a new 2-Channel D.E.C.T. Cell Station (KX-T0155).

New Models

KX-T0155 2-Channel D.E.C.T. Cell Station

The KX-T0155 is equipped with 2 channels that support up to 2 simultaneous D.E.C.T. portable station calls, and it is compatible with the KX-TD7685 and KX-TD7695 D.E.C.T. portable stations only. The KX-T0155 connects to DHLC or DLC card and is powered from the control unit. Unlike our other cell stations, the KX-T0155 can be installed within 10 feet of each other. The KX-T0155 has the following maximum cabling distances from the control unit: Cable Maximum Distance 26 AWG 728 ft 24 AWG 1138 ft 22 AWG 1640 ft CAT 5 1138 ft

As the wireless user moves throughout the coverage area, the signal is relayed from one cell station to the other without any call interruption. One cell station will support multiple calls simultaneously, allowing multiple wireless users to be connected. Up to 16 cell stations and 64 wireless phones can be added and registered on a KX-TDA100 system and up to 32 cell stations and 128 wireless phones can be added and registered on a KX-TDA200.
